From 1982-2001 I worked on both the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tours as a freelance photographer. I shot both black and white and color slide film. For the images in this book (1982-1991), I concentrated mainly on black and white. I enjoyed the process of printing my own photos in the darkroom.

I am grateful to have been a part of tennis history and to have been able to document these athletes on and off the court. I was also very lucky.
